It is possible to eat
whenever you want and stay slim?
If you are an Olympic
athlete or have the metabolism of a greyhound for the rest of us it is
a bit harder.
However it is possible to stay slim if you have a little
self-discipline, eat the right foods and do some regular exercise.
Nobody who lives on a constant diet of junk food, biscuits and cakes is
going to be slim no matter how many hours they put in at the gym. If
you want to stay slim try following some of these tips.
First and most importantly don’t overeat. Control portion sizes so that
you are not eating too much as it is very easy to overeat especially
when doing something else such as watching television. Eat all your
meals at a table where there are no distractions and take your time
when eating as it can take 20 minutes for the body to signal that it is
full.
If you want to stay slim regular exercise is crucial as a way of
burning calories and helping to boost the metabolism. This needn’t mean
hours on a treadmill at the gym.
If the gym is not for you try a dance class or belly dancing, basically
any sort of physical activity is good and the more the better.
A great way to stay slim is by eating more fruits and vegetables as
they act as a natural appetite suppressant. Have at least one portion
with every meal and keep a supply of apples, bananas and oranges handy
for when you feel peckish.
If you don’t already make sure that most of your food is boiled,
poached or steamed instead of fried as an easy way of saving some
calories.
If you can stay slim and be the correct weight for your age, body shape
and size it will help you to have strong bones, stay healthy, stay
sharp and stay young looking.
